Question: Whom do we gift?
Answer: Children in institutions caring for the physically, mentally, socially and economically challenged! 9 years ago the Chrysallis Performance Arts Centre for the Challenged initiated a unique gifting programme - 'Gift a child at Christmas'. Christmas with Chrysallis 2000 – was our first Christmas party with 1000 children from Since then the numbers have grown - Christmas with Chrysalis 2008 – celebrates with 25,000 children across the challenged communities.
Question: What do we gift?
Answer: A gender neutral gift of the value of Rs.25/-. We believe that it is not the value of the gift which matters, but the love with which it is given. A gift makes a child feel wanted, loved and cared for!
The gifter needs to purchase a new item for gifting not to exceed the value Rs.25/-. Care to be taken that the gifts are not sharp-edged, color-safe. Some examples: Stationery, soft toys, books (in English and Regional Language), Socks, Slippers, Scarves, Bandanas … any other
Question: How do we wrap the gift?
Answer: Wrap the gift with a lot of love! Your gift will bring a smile on a child's face. You may put a small note for the child before wrapping it.
Once the gift is wrapped it should be labeled with the Standard of the child to be gifted. Example - Child studying in Standard III.
Question: Where do we deliver the gifts?
